A lot changed when I went to an event a certain year and after singing, many persons gave their life to Christ and the presence of God was quite tangible but my Host was disappointed.
My Host later reached out to me and according to her she said what she saw did not equal the things she heard of me.
According to her, she said she invited me because she heard that when I start singing nobody can stand, people start breaking chairs and shaking under the power.
I was so shocked.
I mean, people gave their life to Christ which any sincere Labourer should be happy about. But my Host felt disappointed because people did not fall under the anointing.
Meanwhile the Holy spirit already mentioned to me that there will be no manifestations in that direction. But His presence will be tangible.
After hearing her complain. It dawned on me that some persons just invite you because of such drama.
I believe in the manifestations of the power of God. I believe it can come on people and their feet and body may not be able to carry them, but I believe that’s not the highest and most authentic manifestations of Gods presence.
I believe a transformed soul is one of the highest demonstrations of Gods power. That transformation can come with them sitting down, crying, rolling on the floor, bended knees and bowed hearts or just a simple song that sticks strongly to their soul.
Honestly, in other to help my heart I stopped attending meetings that had such dramatic expectations of me, I literally avoided certain areas and territories where this kind of mindset was prevalent.
I started praying to God for meetings that just wanted his tangible Glory And not meetings organized to score a cheap point of “Revival” just because people fell under the anointing with screaming.
But how did we get here?
Why do we like drama over real transformation?
You don’t feel like Jesus has touched people and encountered them until people are falling?
Some of us really need to repent from the sin of wrong motive and drama. It’s corrupting your Labour for the Lord.
