Discernment or Distraction? The Hidden Cost of “Exposing” Content Online

One of the fastest growing niche in content creation now is calling out pastors, exposing false prophets and miracles. This niche is funneling millions into peoples accounts.

Who are the audience?

Christian’s with itchy ears. They want to know a false prophet, Apostle, pastor etc not by the scripture or discernment but by the contents of social media.

The bad side of this is that it will get to a point you can’t tell what’s false or true again because the way the human psychology works is that you see more of what you are paying attention to.

You can be in an atmosphere where a genuine miracle and the prophetic is happening but because you have so consumed contents about exposing fake healing, miracles and the prophetic you will doubt it.

This is the danger of consuming such content whether from fellow Christian’s or not.

Gradually your faith will start growing to become very mechanical. You begin to become a victim of approaching faith from Logic.

You may still be hanging on and keeping up with the appearance of faith. Attending church once in a while, post about God but deep down the contents you have consumed over the years have created a fog in your head, it is assaulting your soul, making you weary.

You are daily growing cold towards God. The supernatural is no longer a subject of interest for you. You tend to doubt everything supernatural. You no longer hold God in awe.

Right now even though God was speaking genuinely through a prophet and he begins with “CAN I PROPHECY”? Everything in you puts up a defense as per “This could be them—a fake prophet” because bulk of the contents you have consumed on social media paints that narrative as false.

Social media has now become your discernment trainer, you have sacked the Holy spirit who is supposed to lead you into all truths and teach you.

I wish in this times many of our content creators and bloggers who are christians will invest energy in showcasing the raw power of God in display, the beauty of the prophetic, miracles and all.

Brethren, I made a decision two years ago never to watch anything that is trying to expose any one. Depending on this things to train your discernment is risky. Rather invest time into Gods word, study and grow, nobody will toss you about.

Guard your heart.

You may feel entertained with some of this contents but you are training your heart wrongly and soon this things you feed your mind with will begin to assault your faith.

Please kindly treat this as an independent timely reminder, do not try to connect this thought to anything. Because I know the way social media thinks.

It is just a Brotherly reminder that you should take charge of your heart. If you find yourself already doubting the supernatural you may need to stop consuming contents that try to expose fake pastors and block those channels.

Are there fake pastors, miracles and prophetic? Yes! It didn’t start now. It’s been there from the time of Jesus and the apostles. But focus more on the real ones and stop paying attention to contents trying to expose the fake ones it’s only a matter of time before you even begin to see the real ones as fake ones because of the contents you have been exposed to.
