Start Strong, Finish Nothing – The Cost of Giving Up Too Easily

“…I know this guy,

This guy has a START and STOP syndrome”

This was my reply after a female mentee had mentioned that she had seen someone and was in love already. I have known the brother for quiet sometime, observing from afar, one thing is renown with him “He is quick to start something, but difficult to be consistent with it” But then, the butterflies has gone far into the bellies of the young lady already. What can a mentor do?

But have you heard from God? Yes, she replied (They always say YES). Did the Brother hear from God? I asked. Yes, she replied (They always hear from God and they always say “God said”)

Not up to Six months later, A relationship that began with “God said” in view of marriage, ended with “God said we should break up” Interestingly the lessons I want to point out here has nothing to do with relationships. It has everything to do with consistency.

Truth is—You can get addicted to giving up. For everytime you give up on things easily, you train your destiny muscles to give up easily in the face of challenges. But for everytime you see things through till its growth and maturity you train your destiny muscles to get used to persevering in the face of delays and challenges.

If you know anyone who easily starts something but quick to give up on it or leave it halfway thread carefully. Mind the aspect of your life and degree of involvement you have with that person. In addition for the singles, before you enter any relationship if you notice that the Brother or Sister hasn’t had a History of commitment to a vision or business He/She has significantly grown over the years or been part of from small to Greatness thread carefully.

I have spoken once, The wise will hear twice.

On the other News, JESUS IS BEAUTIFUL is dropping real soon.
